Tokyo, June 16, 2008 – As a result of the earthquake of June 14 that struck the Iwate and Miyagi regions of Japan, partial damage was sustained to Fujitsu Microelectronics' semiconductor fabrication plant in Iwate. Immediately after the earthquake, a task force was established, and investigations are underway regarding the extent of damages sustained and required additional countermeasures.
